Can You See Spring?

I am having a hard time seeing spring, but I sure can see lots of mud! Most of that mud gets stuck between the toes of Blu, who is a bearded collie like the shaggy dog. He has some dirty feet in the spring.

I am looking for the flowers to start to bloom, but it is too early. The snow is still predominantly spread about the yard and field, and they are calling for more. I will have to wait for the flowers a little longer.

The use of flowers as part of a motif in fabric, jewelry and artwork can be traced back to Ancient Egypt. They not only drew the flowers, they would use the flowers themselves in their artwork, much  like we press flowers today.

There were florists back that far, too.

Here is an example of a Chinese work of art from the 12th or 13th century.

If you want to add your own flower basket work of art to your wall, here is a Dutch style basket of flowers that you can stitch.
